Electric motor manufacturer Nidec India has opened the second building of its existing factory in the small town of Neemrana in the state of Rajasthan. While machines for motor vehicles, household appliances, trade and industry are produced in the first building complex, production of drive motors for electric two-wheelers with an output of up to 30 kilowatts is to start in the extension.
According to the subsidiary of Nidec group from Japan, global sales of electric two-wheelers will increase massively from 2.6 million in 2020 to around 13 million in 2030. By the end of the first quarter of 2026, Nidec expects sales revenue of 610 million euros from the electric two-wheeler sector. In the new factory building, Nidec India will produce 90,000 motors for those vehicles every month.
