Cooperative development of automated stamping and packaging machines for the production of lamination stacks

The two German companies Zeulenroda Presstechnik and DREHER Automation are working together on the development of turnkey forming systems for punch stacking to produce rotor and stator laminations for electric motors for traction applications. The aim is to utilize Zeulenroda’s expertise in the field of special forming presses and DREHER’s press automation to provide the widest possible range of services. This includes optimized presses for specific applications with high productivity and robustness, as well as integrated hardware and software solutions from SIEMENS. Zeulenroda is using a specially customized high-speed press, which has been equipped with a belt feeder and control technology from DREHER, for the punching and stacking lines for a current customer project at an automotive supplier. The resulting system produces up to 200 rotor and stator plate cut-outs per minute.
