Koenigsegg is presenting its latest innovation, the self-developed raxial flux motor, ‘Quark’. This unique motor consists of both a radial flux motor and an axial flux unit. According to Koenigsegg, this combination offers the optimal ratio of torque to power to weight. The standard version of the engine weighs just under 30 kg and is capable of delivering up to 600 Newton metres and 250 kW of power. The maximum power is available at 4,000 rpm.Maximum power is already available at 4,000 rpm. Koenigsegg supplements the ‘Quark’ with a specially developed inverter and a planetary gearbox to form a complete drive unit. According to Koenigsegg, this drive unit is the most power and torque-tight drive unit on the market that enables torque vectoring.
